Van der Valk Hotel Veenendaal is located directly on the A12 and is ideally accessible by car. If you are a guest in the hotel, at our meeting rooms or in the restaurant of Van der Valk Hotel Veenendaal, you can use our parking garage free of charge.

In the parking lot next to Hotel Veenendaal you will find 12 charging points for electric vehicles (including ultra-fast charging).

Directions

  • On the A12 take exit 23, Veenendaal-WEST.

  • Coming from Utrecht turn left at the bottom of the highway at the traffic lights.
    Drive past the McDonald's and then turn right at traffic lights, this is the Voorpoort which turns into Bastion.
    At the two roundabounts go straight ahead and at the end of the road turn right while following the road.

  • Coming from Arnhem go straight ahead at the end of the highway, this is the Voorpoort which turns into Bastion. At the two roundabounts go straight ahead and at the end of the road turn right with the road.

Major road maintenance June & August 2025

In June 2025, the A12 motorway in the direction of Arnhem will be completely closed between the Maanderbroek and Grijsoord junctions. Several on- and off-ramps within this section will also be inaccessible.

  • From Friday, 13 June 2025 at 21:00 until Monday, 16 June 2025 at 05:00

In August 2025, Rijkswaterstaat will carry out major maintenance on the A12. The motorway will be closed for 9 consecutive days and nights between Veenendaal and Utrecht, covering a distance of 30 km.

  • From Friday, 22 August 2025 at 20:00 until Monday, 1 September 2025 at 05:00

Please consider additional travel time of more than 60 minutes. Please plan your trip ahead of time.
